Your Support Makes All The Difference

Our Vision

We strive to create a welcoming

space where individuals feel

supported, valued, and

empowered, recognizing that

clean garments are a basic right,

not a privilege.

Handling Difficult Situations Calmly

If a Neighbor is not responding to your guidance, please let us know so we can step in and support the situation. No matter what’s happening around you, staying calm helps prevent things from escalating. Our goal is to maintain a safe and peaceful environment for everyone.

Everyone must be registered and wearing a name tag to be served—no exceptions. To help manage this, we will be slowing down the registration process. Only those at the front of the line will receive name tags.

If someone begins doing laundry without registering or without a name tag, kindly explain that they have two options: they may either remove their clothes from the washer and return to the line to register, or choose to pay for their laundry themselves. Let them know that others have been waiting, and skipping ahead is not allowed.

Important: Do not register anyone at the washers. It’s not your responsibility, and we will not make exceptions.

Each Neighbor may wash up to five regular loads of laundry. If someone strongly prefers to wash their whites separately, they may have one additional small load for that purpose.

Exceptions: Baby clothes are an exception to this rule and may be washed in addition to the regular load limit.

Large washers are reserved for heavy laundry only, such as blankets, quilts, and other bulky items. Please ensure these loads go into the largest machines.

If someone has heavy items, explain that these will count as their one large washer load. Do not ask if they prefer a large or small washer—make the call based on what you see.

If a large washer isn’t immediately available, let them know they’ll be next in line once one opens up. Reassure them their laundry will be washed. In the meantime, invite them to visit the donation table or offer a cup of coffee or water while they wait.

Health Emergency Protocol

If a Neighbor’s laundry is wet, smells of mold, or appears unsanitary, treat it as a health emergency. All items must be washed using the Power Wash cycle in the largest washers, regardless of load size.

In these situations, more than five loads are allowed. Please notify a team leader so we are aware and can follow up appropriately with the individual.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to ask. That’s exactly why we’re here—to support you and make sure everyone is cared for properly.

This message comes directly from the owner of the laundromat and must be followed:

We are currently using too much detergent, and it is causing damage to the washers. These machines are high-efficiency and only require a small amount of soap—not a full cup.

Additionally, soap is often being placed in the wrong dispenser. Before each shift, we will show you exactly where the detergent should go and how much to use.

Some Neighbors may insist on adding more soap. Please do not give in to these requests. Politely explain that these washers are designed to clean with less soap, and if their clothes do not come out clean, we will cover the cost to rewash them. When used correctly, with soap in the proper dispenser, this issue is typically avoided.

If someone continues to request more soap, kindly direct them to purchase detergent at the front counter. No exceptions. Overusing detergent is damaging the machines, and we must protect them.

No couch pillows are allowed—please do not accept them for washing.

We focus strictly on laundry and bedding only. If you’re ever unsure about an item, feel free to ask a team leader for guidance.

Some of our Neighbors have large households, which means more laundry. If you notice someone with a large amount of clothing, kindly ask how many people live in their home.

If the household has more than five people, it’s okay to offer them one additional washer to help manage the load.

Enjoy yourselves and take the time to connect with one another. Once again, thank you for all your hard work, and God Bless.
